ABOUT 

Mountain Warfare Training Exercise (MTX) 2022 sees 1st Battalion, 24th Marines (Reinforced) conducting Mountain Exercise 4-22 aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center Bridgeport, Calif., in order to sustain individual warfighting  proficiency and improve, sustain, and evaluate company-level offensive and defensive tasks as well as battalion-level planning and command and control.

Marines with 4th Reconnaissance Battalion, 4th Marine Division, Marine Forces Reserve, participate in rescue operations in response to Hurricane Harvey in Katy, Texas, Aug. 30, 2017. Marine Forces Reserve is posturing ground, air and logistical assets in order to support FEMA, state and local response efforts due to Hurricane Harvey. The Marine Corps Reserve is America’s expeditionary total force in readiness whether on the battlefield or during national emergencies.
