Col. Ricardo Player, the chief of staff of Force Headquarters Group, Marine Forces Reserve, discusses the dangers of drug use to Junior ROTC cadets during Red Ribbon Week, at New Orleans Military and Maritime Academy in New Orleans, Oct. 23, 2017. Since 1985, the National Red Ribbon Campaign has promoted Red Ribbon Week every October to raise awareness about the dangers of drug use in America. Marines with MARFORRES participate in Red Ribbon Week by traveling to local high schools to talk to students about their life experiences, and the negative effects of drugs and alcohol.
