ABOUT 

Mountain Warfare Training Exercise (MTX) 2022 sees 1st Battalion, 24th Marines (Reinforced) conducting Mountain Exercise 4-22 aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center Bridgeport, Calif., in order to sustain individual warfighting  proficiency and improve, sustain, and evaluate company-level offensive and defensive tasks as well as battalion-level planning and command and control.

Hometown Heroes of Winter Break 2018

Ruiz is a motor transport mechanic with Company F, 4th Tank Battalion, 4th Marine Division, and is participating with his unit in Exercise Winter Break 2018 on Camp Grayling, Michigan, Feb. 4-17, 2018. When he's not conducting Marine Corps training, Ruiz works as a fencing contractor for a local fencing company in Jacksonville, North Carolina.
