ABOUT 

Mountain Warfare Training Exercise (MTX) 2022 sees 1st Battalion, 24th Marines (Reinforced) conducting Mountain Exercise 4-22 aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center Bridgeport, Calif., in order to sustain individual warfighting  proficiency and improve, sustain, and evaluate company-level offensive and defensive tasks as well as battalion-level planning and command and control.

The 4th Marine Division color guard march on the colors during the change of command ceremony of Maj. Gen. Michael S. Martin, outgoing commanding general, 4th MARDIV, to Maj. Gen. Michael F. Fahey, incoming commanding general, at Marine Corps Support Facility New Orleans, Oct. 2, 2020. The change of command ceremony was held as a formal transfer of power of authority and responsibility for the division and its Marines and sailors from one general officer to another.
