ABOUT 

Mountain Warfare Training Exercise (MTX) 2022 sees 1st Battalion, 24th Marines (Reinforced) conducting Mountain Exercise 4-22 aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center Bridgeport, Calif., in order to sustain individual warfighting  proficiency and improve, sustain, and evaluate company-level offensive and defensive tasks as well as battalion-level planning and command and control.

Task Force Pickett Toy Drive
U.S. Marines with 1st Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment, hand out toys to Afghan individuals at Fort Pickett, Virginia, Nov. 21, 2021. Task Force Pickett personnel conducted the toy drive to ensure Afghan children have access to toys and games while they await resettlement across the U.S. The Department of Defense, through U.S. Northern Command, and in support of the Department of Homeland Security, is providing transportation, temporary housing, medical screening, and general support for at least 50,000 Afghan evacuees at suitable facilities, in permanent or temporary structures, as quickly as possible.
