ABOUT 

Mountain Warfare Training Exercise (MTX) 2022 sees 1st Battalion, 24th Marines (Reinforced) conducting Mountain Exercise 4-22 aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center Bridgeport, Calif., in order to sustain individual warfighting  proficiency and improve, sustain, and evaluate company-level offensive and defensive tasks as well as battalion-level planning and command and control.

The AFX is the primary readiness-building event prior to Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment’s upcoming deployment to Okinawa, Japan, in support of the Marine Corps’ Unit Deployment Program.
