ABOUT 

Mountain Warfare Training Exercise (MTX) 2022 sees 1st Battalion, 24th Marines (Reinforced) conducting Mountain Exercise 4-22 aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center Bridgeport, Calif., in order to sustain individual warfighting  proficiency and improve, sustain, and evaluate company-level offensive and defensive tasks as well as battalion-level planning and command and control.

U.S. Marine Capt. Luis Villasenor, a supply officer with Marine Aircraft Group 41, utilizes a compass in a land navigation course during Atlantic Alliance 25 (AA25) at Fort Drum, New York, July 3, 2025. AA25 maintains U.S. Navy and Marine Corps joint amphibious capabilities while implementing aircraft and ground support elements. Marines constantly refine their land navigation skills to properly orient themselves in adverse and austere environments that enable them to complete the mission.
