ABOUT 

Mountain Warfare Training Exercise (MTX) 2022 sees 1st Battalion, 24th Marines (Reinforced) conducting Mountain Exercise 4-22 aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center Bridgeport, Calif., in order to sustain individual warfighting  proficiency and improve, sustain, and evaluate company-level offensive and defensive tasks as well as battalion-level planning and command and control.

Maj. Gen. Rex C. McMillian, commanding general of the 4th Marine Aircraft Wing talks with Col. Robert C. Kuckuk, the commanding officer of headquarters and headquarters squadron in Yuma, Ariz., July 19. McMillian arrived at the air station to observe and assess Operation Javelin Thrust 2011, the largest reserve training exercise in the Marine Corps.
