ABOUT 

Mountain Warfare Training Exercise (MTX) 2022 sees 1st Battalion, 24th Marines (Reinforced) conducting Mountain Exercise 4-22 aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center Bridgeport, Calif., in order to sustain individual warfighting  proficiency and improve, sustain, and evaluate company-level offensive and defensive tasks as well as battalion-level planning and command and control.

Nine vessels are docked on the Mississippi riverfront, April 18, 2012, for the War of 1812 Commemoration. New Orleans will serve as the inaugural city in a three-year national celebration commemorating the War of 1812 and the Star-Spangled Banner. The Marine Corps' role in this event reinforces its naval character, showcases the Navy-Marine Corps team and highlights the military's enduring relationship with the city of New Orleans.
