ABOUT 

Mountain Warfare Training Exercise (MTX) 2022 sees 1st Battalion, 24th Marines (Reinforced) conducting Mountain Exercise 4-22 aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center Bridgeport, Calif., in order to sustain individual warfighting  proficiency and improve, sustain, and evaluate company-level offensive and defensive tasks as well as battalion-level planning and command and control.

Reserve Marines from 6th Motor Transport Bn. and 6th Engineer Support Bn. receive training on crew-served weapons during Exercise Javelin Thrust. Javelin Thrust is an annual large-scale exercise here which allows active and reserve Marines and sailors from 38 different states to train together as a seamless Marine Air Ground Task Force.
