ABOUT 

Mountain Warfare Training Exercise (MTX) 2022 sees 1st Battalion, 24th Marines (Reinforced) conducting Mountain Exercise 4-22 aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center Bridgeport, Calif., in order to sustain individual warfighting  proficiency and improve, sustain, and evaluate company-level offensive and defensive tasks as well as battalion-level planning and command and control.

Cpl. Joshua Brown , a radio operator with Communications Company, 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 4th Marine Division, checks the communication capabilties of a PRC-119 radio supported via a field expedient antenna at Range 500A during Exercise Javelin Thrust 2012. Javelin Thrust is an annual large-scale exercise here which allows active and reserve Marines and sailors from 38 different states to train together as a seamless Marine Air Ground Task Force.
