"Integrated Training Exercise (ITX) is a service level training exercise (SLTE) and the annual capstone Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) training event for Marine Forces Reserve (MFR). ITX provides the premier live-fire combined arms training venue to assess readiness of designated units in support of Strategic Reserve Mobilization Requirements."

As the Marine Corps Reserve’s premier annual training event, ITX provides opportunities to mobilize geographically dispersed forces for a deployment; increase combat readiness and lethality; and exercise MAGTF command and control of battalions and squadrons across the full spectrum of warfare. Marine World War II veteran's remains returned

Retired Col. Elwin B. Hart presents the flag to Pfc. Elmer L. Mathies’ sister Mary Jo during a memorial service held for Mathies in Hereford, Texas, May 28, 2016. Hart was Mathies’ platoon sergeant during his service in World War II. Mathies was killed in action during the Battle of Tarawa in 1943. His remains were found and recovered on the island in 2015 by the nonprofit organization History Flight, which is dedicated to preserving and honoring World War II, Vietnam and Gulf War combat veterans.
