"Integrated Training Exercise (ITX) is a service level training exercise (SLTE) and the annual capstone Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) training event for Marine Forces Reserve (MFR). ITX provides the premier live-fire combined arms training venue to assess readiness of designated units in support of Strategic Reserve Mobilization Requirements."

As the Marine Corps Reserve’s premier annual training event, ITX provides opportunities to mobilize geographically dispersed forces for a deployment; increase combat readiness and lethality; and exercise MAGTF command and control of battalions and squadrons across the full spectrum of warfare. 6th Communication Battalion 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

Master Sgt. Cavin Edwards with 6th Communication Battalion, Force Headquarters Group, Marine Forces Reserve, addresses guests during a 9/11 remembrance ceremony at the Curtin Garvey Complex, Brooklyn, New York, Aug. 14, 2021. This ceremony was held in honor of the legacy and memory of Sgt. Maj. Michael S. Curtin and Gunnery Sgt. Mathew D. Garvey, Reserve Marines with 6th Communication Battalion, who made the ultimate sacrifice as first responders on September 11, 2001. Curtin, a police officer with the New York City Police Department, and Garvey, a firefighter with the New York City Fire Department, epitomized what it means to be a Reserve Marine, answering the nation's call to serve in uniform while also serving their local communities.
