ITX provides the premier live-fire combined arms training venue to assess readiness of designated units in support of Strategic Reserve Mobilization Requirements."

As the Marine Corps Reserve’s premier annual training event, ITX provides opportunities to mobilize geographically dispersed forces for a deployment; increase combat readiness and lethality; and exercise MAGTF command and control of battalions and squadrons across the full spectrum of warfare. California Montford Point Marines awarded Congressional Gold medal

Marines from Concord, Calif., present the nation’s colors during a Congressional Gold Medal ceremony here Sept. 21. The ceremony was held in honor of two Montford Point Marines, Sgt. Riley A. McCray and Cpl. Lynn L. Williams, to recognize them for their service during a time of racism and segregation in the 1940s. The Marines detachment falls under Beach and Terminal Operations Company A, 4th Landing Support Battalion, 4th Marine Logistics Group. In total, Marine Reserve units from 22 states will present the award to 78 Montford Point Marines.
