ABOUT 

Exercise Intrepid Maven is a U.S. Marine Corps Forces Central Command conceptualized and implemented exercise series designed in late 2021, with the first iteration having occurred in Jordan in March 2022. The series, to include IM 23.2, is designed to strengthen partnerships, produce training opportunities, contribute to interoperability and improve conditions for regional security.

Camp Atterbury, Ind. - Pfc. Robert Perez, a field radio operator with Weapons Company, 2nd Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, double checks coordinates in a call-for-fire mission directed toward a mortar platoon as part of their Reserve forces drill period training, March 15, 2014, at a firing range on Camp Atterbury Joint Maneuver Center. After receiving the coordinates, Perez relayed the information to fire direction center Marines to locate the target. Then the FDC Marines shouted out the target coordinates to the mortar teams.
