ABOUT 

Exercise Intrepid Maven is a U.S. Marine Corps Forces Central Command conceptualized and implemented exercise series designed in late 2021, with the first iteration having occurred in Jordan in March 2022. The series, to include IM 23.2, is designed to strengthen partnerships, produce training opportunities, contribute to interoperability and improve conditions for regional security.

U.S. Marine Corps Captain Alexander J. Beal, a data systems specialist with Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA), reviews code for the Augmented Reconnaissance and Estimate of the Situation (ARES) software application at the Marine Corps Software Factory (MCSWF), 21 March, 2025. MIU Marines are assisting MCSWF in the development and production of software solutions that address critical needs for the Marine Corps, including an update to ARES that predicts helicopter landing zones based on topographical data.
