ABOUT 

Exercise Intrepid Maven is a U.S. Marine Corps Forces Central Command conceptualized and implemented exercise series designed in late 2021, with the first iteration having occurred in Jordan in March 2022. The series, to include IM 23.2, is designed to strengthen partnerships, produce training opportunities, contribute to interoperability and improve conditions for regional security.

Gunnery Sgt. Leornardo Garcia, an aviation maintenance administrative training coordinator with 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, Marine Forces Reserve, puts toxic plant trimmings into a wheelbarrow during a day of volunteering to clean up exhibits at the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans. Garcia was one of four Marine volunteers who gave time to clean up the zoo by trimming grass, and clearing excess brush in animal exhibits.
