ABOUT 

"Marines from 2nd Battalion 23d Marine Regiment will conduct mountain training exercises aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport allowing Marines to sustain warfighting functions while participating in realistic combat training in a mountainous environment. The purpose of MTX is to facilitate increased readiness and to challenge units’ ability to plan and perform."

Marine earns Silver Star for Vietnam heroics
Marine Sgt. Gary L. Hill is congratulated by his immediate and extended family and other guests came to show their support for his military service after his Silver Star medal ceremony at the Tuscaloosa Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center here June 7, 2013. Hill was presented the nation’s third highest award by Retired Commandant of the Marine Corps Gen. Charles C. Krulak for his heroic actions while deployed to Vietnam in 1967.
