ABOUT 

"Marines from 2nd Battalion 23d Marine Regiment will conduct mountain training exercises aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport allowing Marines to sustain warfighting functions while participating in realistic combat training in a mountainous environment. The purpose of MTX is to facilitate increased readiness and to challenge units’ ability to plan and perform."

Marine Corps awards medal for heroism to local Reserve Marine
Lance Cpl. Bryan Daniels, motor transport operator with Headquarters Battery, 14th Marine Regiment, and native of Keller, Texas, was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal for heroism May 18, 2014.
