FORT POLK, La. – Corporal Alexander Gil, a section leader with 1st Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment, and native of Houston, yells out commands to a fellow assualtman during a live-fire range here, June 3. Marines took part in numerous live-fire ranges, which culminated in a platoon-sized attack as a part of the unit’s annual training.
