ABOUT 

"Marines from 2nd Battalion 23d Marine Regiment will conduct mountain training exercises aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport allowing Marines to sustain warfighting functions while participating in realistic combat training in a mountainous environment. The purpose of MTX is to facilitate increased readiness and to challenge units’ ability to plan and perform."

Brig. Gen. Patrick J. Hermesmann, commanding general of 4th Marine Logistics Group, briefs Marines and their spouses during the 4th MLG Commander’s Conference at the Marine Corps Support Facility, New Orleans, Sep. 6-7, 2014. Hermesmann delivered briefs on how 4th MLG is staying ready, relevant and responsive in order to augment and reinforce the Marine Corps’ active component. He also focused on the command’s spouses, the importance of their involvement and how it keeps the unit functioning in order to keep the Marines operational.
