ABOUT 

"Marines from 2nd Battalion 23d Marine Regiment will conduct mountain training exercises aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport allowing Marines to sustain warfighting functions while participating in realistic combat training in a mountainous environment. The purpose of MTX is to facilitate increased readiness and to challenge units’ ability to plan and perform."

Navy Reserve vice admiral visits chaplains and religious program specialists during MARFORRES Chaplaincy Training
Vice Admiral Robin Braun, chief of the Navy Reserve, addresses Reserve chaplains and religious program specialists at the Marine Forces Reserve Chaplaincy Training seminar at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base New Orleans, Feb. 5, 2015. Braun spoke about the Navy Reserve’s goals for the next 10 years, including cultivating leadership, advancing technology, furthering force readiness and relevance, as well as upcoming changes to the Navy Reserve in light of its 100th anniversary on March 3, 2015. Established during World War I, the Navy Reserve’s mission is to deliver strategic depth and operational capabilities to the Navy, Marine Corps, and joint forces. The MARFORRES Chaplaincy training seminar focused on preparing chaplains and RPs throughout MARFORRES to support Reserve Marines across the world.
