ABOUT 

"Marines from 2nd Battalion 23d Marine Regiment will conduct mountain training exercises aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport allowing Marines to sustain warfighting functions while participating in realistic combat training in a mountainous environment. The purpose of MTX is to facilitate increased readiness and to challenge units’ ability to plan and perform."

New Orleans Chef’s Salute to Our Armed Forces
Service members who were recognized at the New Orleans Chef’s Salute to our Armed Forces hosted by the Navy League at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel, June 11, 2015, pose for a picture with Lt. Gen. Richard P. Mills (center right), commander of Marine Forces Reserve and Marine Forces North. The New Orleans Chef’s Salute to our Armed Forces has been hosted for five years, showcasing local chefs’ military appreciation by serving them specialty entrees and recognizing the enlisted service members of the year for each respective branch of the U.S. armed forces.
