ABOUT 

"Marines from 2nd Battalion 23d Marine Regiment will conduct mountain training exercises aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport allowing Marines to sustain warfighting functions while participating in realistic combat training in a mountainous environment. The purpose of MTX is to facilitate increased readiness and to challenge units’ ability to plan and perform."

Marines with Truck Company, 23rd Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, march to the gravesite of Gen. Robert H. Barrow, 27th Commandant of the Marine Corps, to conduct a 3-round volley during a wreath-laying ceremony held at Grace Episcopal Church in St. Francisville, La., Nov. 10, 2015. The Commander and Sergeant Major of Marine Forces Reserve and Marine Forces North, Lt. Gen. Rex C. McMillian and Sgt. Maj. Anthony Spadaro, laid a wreath on Barrow’s grave to honor his service and to pay their respects on behalf of the Marine Corps.
