ABOUT 

"Marines from 2nd Battalion 23d Marine Regiment will conduct mountain training exercises aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport allowing Marines to sustain warfighting functions while participating in realistic combat training in a mountainous environment. The purpose of MTX is to facilitate increased readiness and to challenge units’ ability to plan and perform."

NFL’s “Salute to Service” campaign recognizes the Marine Forces Reserve Centennial
Marines from the San Francisco Bay Area hold the Marine Forces Reserve Centennial banner after the half-time show of the San Francisco 49ers’ game against the New Orleans Saints at Levi’s Stadium, Nov. 6, 2016. The National Football League recognized the Marine Corps Reserve’s Centennial during the half-time show as part of their “Salute to Service” campaign. Today, approximately 500 Reserve Marines are providing fully integrated operational support to Fleet and Combatant Commanders around the world.
