ABOUT 

"Marines from 2nd Battalion 23d Marine Regiment will conduct mountain training exercises aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport allowing Marines to sustain warfighting functions while participating in realistic combat training in a mountainous environment. The purpose of MTX is to facilitate increased readiness and to challenge units’ ability to plan and perform."

NFL’s “Salute to Service” campaign recognizes the Marine Forces Reserve Centennial
Service members from the San Francisco Bay Area stand at attention during the Marines Hymn, performed by the 1st Marine Division Band at half-time of the San Francisco 49ers’ game against the New Orleans Saints at Levi’s Stadium, Nov. 6, 2016. The Centennial of the Marine Forces Reserve was recognized as part of the National Football League’s “Salute to Service” campaign. Today, approximately 500 Reserve Marines are providing fully integrated operational support to Fleet and Combatant Commanders around the world.
