ABOUT 

"Marines from 2nd Battalion 23d Marine Regiment will conduct mountain training exercises aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport allowing Marines to sustain warfighting functions while participating in realistic combat training in a mountainous environment. The purpose of MTX is to facilitate increased readiness and to challenge units’ ability to plan and perform."

MWSS-473 runs FARP in Marathon, Florida, in wake of Hurricane Irma
Jim Lander, a retired Navy commander, refuels his C12 airplane from a forward arming and refueling point operated by Marines with Marine Wing Support Squadron 473, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, Marine Forces Reserve, before delivering supplies to people in the local area in support of rescue efforts in Marathon, Florida, Sept. 13, 2017.
