ABOUT 

"Marines from 2nd Battalion 23d Marine Regiment will conduct mountain training exercises aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport allowing Marines to sustain warfighting functions while participating in realistic combat training in a mountainous environment. The purpose of MTX is to facilitate increased readiness and to challenge units’ ability to plan and perform."

Marine Corps Cpl. Kyle Thompson, a gunner with Kilo Battery, 2nd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment, raises the suspension on a M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) after having been off loaded from an Air Force MC-130 at Fort Campbell, Ky., March 29, 2018. Marines from Kilo Battery flew from Fort Campbell, to Dugway Proving Grounds, Utah, where they offloaded and fired four HIMARS missiles, demonstrating a unique capability that will give commanders more options to deal with threats when other options are not appropriate.
