ABOUT 

"Marines from 2nd Battalion 23d Marine Regiment will conduct mountain training exercises aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport allowing Marines to sustain warfighting functions while participating in realistic combat training in a mountainous environment. The purpose of MTX is to facilitate increased readiness and to challenge units’ ability to plan and perform."

Marines with Company A., 4th Combat Engineer Battalion, 4th Marine Division, Marine Forces Reserve, conduct a helicopter borne assault via MV-22 and CH-53 platforms during platoon attacks as part of a Mission Rehearsal Exercise aboard U.S. Army Fort A.P. Hill, Va., April 6, 2018. Along with its combat engineer battalion, combat logistics battalion, assault amphibious vehicle and artillery attachments, 1st Battalion., 25th Marine Regiment, conducted a 10-drill MRX in preparation for Integrated Training Exercise 4-18. This MRX was a stepping stone in a force generation plan to ensure that once 1st Bn., 25th Marines, 1st Bn., 23rd Marines, and other ready bench units complete ITX 4-18, they will be ready to rapidly respond to a national security threat with maximum capability.
