ABOUT 

"Marines from 2nd Battalion 23d Marine Regiment will conduct mountain training exercises aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport allowing Marines to sustain warfighting functions while participating in realistic combat training in a mountainous environment. The purpose of MTX is to facilitate increased readiness and to challenge units’ ability to plan and perform."

Gen. Michael Martin (left), 4th MARDIV commanding general, for his leadership skills during the 2018 Super Squad Competition at the AC Hotel in New Orleans, Oct 17, 2018. The Super Squad Competition is designed to evaluate a 14-man infantry squad throughout an extensive field and live-fire evolution by competing in events that highlighted offensive/defensive operations, patrolling techniques, combat marksmanship, physical endurance and small unit leadership.
