ABOUT 

"Marines from 2nd Battalion 23d Marine Regiment will conduct mountain training exercises aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport allowing Marines to sustain warfighting functions while participating in realistic combat training in a mountainous environment. The purpose of MTX is to facilitate increased readiness and to challenge units’ ability to plan and perform."

Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 7
Mark Davis (right), a radio host from 660 AM The Answer, interviews Col Walter Cunningham (left), United States Marine Corps retired fighter pilot and Apollo 7 lunar module pilot, about his experience during the Apollo 7 mission at the Frontiers of Flight Museum in Dallas, Oct. 20, 2018. Apollo 7 was the only manned Apollo mission launched on a Saturn 1-B rocket and from pad 34 at Cape Kennedy. It was the first manned test of the Command and Service Module. The crew orbited the Earth 163 times and spent 10 days and 20 hours in space. It also featured the first live TV from a manned spacecraft. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl.
