ABOUT 

"Marines from 2nd Battalion 23d Marine Regiment will conduct mountain training exercises aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport allowing Marines to sustain warfighting functions while participating in realistic combat training in a mountainous environment. The purpose of MTX is to facilitate increased readiness and to challenge units’ ability to plan and perform."

Sgt. Lazart Sekulits Rodriquez, a psychological operations Marine with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force - Southern Command, conducts a gear check at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, Aug. 5, 2020. A group of approximately 20 Marines from the SPMAGTF-SC has joined with Joint Task Force - Bravo in support of operations and exercises in the Latin American and Caribbean region. The remainder of the task force is prepared to deploy to the region to work alongside partner nation militaries, enhancing combined crisis response efforts in the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility.
