ABOUT 

"Marines from 2nd Battalion 23d Marine Regiment will conduct mountain training exercises aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport allowing Marines to sustain warfighting functions while participating in realistic combat training in a mountainous environment. The purpose of MTX is to facilitate increased readiness and to challenge units’ ability to plan and perform."

Maj. Jonathan Hansen, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing director of safety and standardization, speaks about the precautions taken to ensure the safety of pilots and crew members during the Admiral James S. Russell Naval Aviation Flight Safety award ceremony on Nov. 13, 2020 at Marine Corps Support Facility New Orleans. Pilots with 4th MAW flew more than 20,000 hours with no Class A flight-related or aviation-ground mishaps, which placed it at the top of other competitive commands.
