ABOUT 

"Marines from 2nd Battalion 23d Marine Regiment will conduct mountain training exercises aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport allowing Marines to sustain warfighting functions while participating in realistic combat training in a mountainous environment. The purpose of MTX is to facilitate increased readiness and to challenge units’ ability to plan and perform."

U.S. Marine Corps Capt. David Christie, a communications officer assigned to 4th Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company, tracks aircraft positions during Marine Forces Reserve Tactical Air Control Party Fire Exercise 23-1 at Rattlesnake Range, Camp Shelby, Mississippi, Oct. 27, 2022. During this exercise, Marines were evaluated on their performances in multiple scenarios with live aircraft to remain ready to augment the active component with support personnel. The purpose of TACP FIREX 23-1 is to maintain joint fires proficiency and readiness to support the total force.
