ABOUT 

"Marines from 2nd Battalion 23d Marine Regiment will conduct mountain training exercises aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport allowing Marines to sustain warfighting functions while participating in realistic combat training in a mountainous environment. The purpose of MTX is to facilitate increased readiness and to challenge units’ ability to plan and perform."

Michael Dugan, amphibious assault representative with Tactical Training and Exercise Control Group, Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Command, provided instruction to Marines with 2nd Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, during an adversarial force exercise at Marine Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, California, Dec. 2, 2024. Dugan’s class covered key amphibious assault strategies and urban combat tactics to enhance operational readiness and prepare the unit for its deployment to Okinawa, Japan, ensuring the Marines are fully manned, trained and equipped to meet mission challenges.
