ABOUT 

"Marines from 2nd Battalion 23d Marine Regiment will conduct mountain training exercises aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport allowing Marines to sustain warfighting functions while participating in realistic combat training in a mountainous environment. The purpose of MTX is to facilitate increased readiness and to challenge units’ ability to plan and perform."

The Marines set up a tent while conducting cold-weather safety training to prepare for upcoming Toys for Tots events. The Marines’ participation in this training prepares them to operate in harsh-weather conditions above the arctic circle, familiarizing themselves with survival techniques, snowmobile operation and the daily tasks they will conduct during the Toys for Tots mission.
