ABOUT 

"Marines from 2nd Battalion 23d Marine Regiment will conduct mountain training exercises aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport allowing Marines to sustain warfighting functions while participating in realistic combat training in a mountainous environment. The purpose of MTX is to facilitate increased readiness and to challenge units’ ability to plan and perform."

Marines Honor Former Commandant with Wreath Laying
U.S. Marines assigned to Truck Company, 23rd Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, stand at parade rest before performing ceremonial rifle duties during a wreath laying ceremony for Gen. Robert Barrow, the 27th Commandant of the Marine Corps, in St. Francisville, La., Nov. 10, 2024. Barrow was the first Marine Corps commandant to be buried at his hometown and not in Arlington National Cemetery.
