ABOUT 

"Marines from 2nd Battalion 23d Marine Regiment will conduct mountain training exercises aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport allowing Marines to sustain warfighting functions while participating in realistic combat training in a mountainous environment. The purpose of MTX is to facilitate increased readiness and to challenge units’ ability to plan and perform."

U.S. Marine Corps Brig. Gen. John K. Jarrard, commanding general of 4th Marine Division, awards Marines with 1st Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment at Integrated Training Exercise 3-25 (ITX 3-25) at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, California, June 15th, 2025. The medal was awarded for winners of a squad competition that tested Marines' physical fitness levels, tactical proficiency, and unit cohesion. ITX is a critical Marine Air-Ground Task Force exercise for the Marine Forces Reserve’s training cycle, confirming unit readiness through live-fire and combined arms integration.
