ABOUT 

"Marines from 2nd Battalion 23d Marine Regiment will conduct mountain training exercises aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport allowing Marines to sustain warfighting functions while participating in realistic combat training in a mountainous environment. The purpose of MTX is to facilitate increased readiness and to challenge units’ ability to plan and perform."

The Marines conducted a combined amphibious landing demonstration as part of the exercise Cold Response 2010. Reserve Marine officers have many opportunities to deploy for short periods of time on international exercises. Cold Response is an annual multinational military exercise in Norway which focuses on cold weather amphibious operations and conventional ground operations.
