ABOUT 

"Marines from 2nd Battalion 23d Marine Regiment will conduct mountain training exercises aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport allowing Marines to sustain warfighting functions while participating in realistic combat training in a mountainous environment. The purpose of MTX is to facilitate increased readiness and to challenge units’ ability to plan and perform."

Reserve Marines from 3rd Platoon, Company G, 2/25 maneuver through Wadi Al Sahara during a patrol on the morning of July 20. This notional Iraqi town at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center here is used as an urban warfare training facility for Marines bound for overseas deployments.
