ABOUT 

"Marines from 2nd Battalion 23d Marine Regiment will conduct mountain training exercises aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport allowing Marines to sustain warfighting functions while participating in realistic combat training in a mountainous environment. The purpose of MTX is to facilitate increased readiness and to challenge units’ ability to plan and perform."

A Marine Corps Band New Orleans percussionists makes his way down St. Charles during a March 2 parade. Percussions play constantly during parades, even while the rest of the band is between songs. The band covers an average of 12 parades every Mardi Gras season, many stretching up to 6.5 miles long.
