ABOUT 

"Marines from 2nd Battalion 23d Marine Regiment will conduct mountain training exercises aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport allowing Marines to sustain warfighting functions while participating in realistic combat training in a mountainous environment. The purpose of MTX is to facilitate increased readiness and to challenge units’ ability to plan and perform."

Marines with Company E, 2nd Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, perform squad maneuvers, July 19. The live-fire exercise was performed to sharpen the combat skills of the Marines by coordinating efforts with indirect and machine gun fire to eliminate the enemy.
