ABOUT 

"Marines from 2nd Battalion 23d Marine Regiment will conduct mountain training exercises aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport allowing Marines to sustain warfighting functions while participating in realistic combat training in a mountainous environment. The purpose of MTX is to facilitate increased readiness and to challenge units’ ability to plan and perform."

The Georgian and U.S. representatives gather in front of a World War II amphibious Higgins boat Oct.12, 2011 during the private tour of the National World War II Museum here. The Georgians came here for the Exercise Agile Spirit 2012 mid-planning conference that was hosted at the Marine Corps Support Facility New Orleans Oct. 12-14. The Georgians also strolled through downtown New Orleans, attended a formal dinner and went on a swamp tour.
