ABOUT

UNITAS, which is Latin for unity, celebrates its 64th anniversary in 2023, and serves as the longest-running multinational maritime exercise in the world.  

From 11-21 July 2023, USNAVSO, MARFORSOUTH, MARFORRES, and SOCSOUTH, alongside 20 partnered nations, will conduct multi-domain maritime operations in support of UNITAS LXIV in the vicinity of Cartagena, Coveñas & Barranquilla, Colombia.

U.S. Marines assigned to Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Forces UNITAS, and partnered and allied nations conduct multilateral training during UNITAS LXIV in Colombia, July 11 - 21, 2023. UNITAS, hosted by Colombia this year, is the world’s longest-running annual multinational maritime exercise that focuses on enhancing interoperability among multiple nations and joint forces during littoral and amphibious operations in order to build on existing regional partnerships and create new enduring relationships that promote peace, stability, and prosperity in the U.S. Southern Command’s area of responsibility. 4th Marine Aircraft Wing demonstrates medical safety to local Cub Scout troop
Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Aaron Bevan, a hospital corpsman with 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, leads Webelos Cub Scout Pack 48 in first-aid training at Marine Corps Support Facility New Orleans on Dec. 5, 2015. The training, led by Bevan and Staff Sgt. Charlee Law, an administrative chief with 4th MAW, included identifying different types of ailments and injuries that required first aid, as well as an analysis of the contents in a common first-aid kit and their correct usage. The scouts attended the training as a requirement for earning their First Responder achievement badge.
