ABOUT

Arctic Edge 25 is a Joint Chiefs of Staff designated joint and combined field training exercise oriented on homeland defense in the Alaska/Arctic region. This exercise provides an opportunity to highlight cross command coordination in the Alaskan theater of operations for homeland defense.

U.S. Marines with 2nd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, participate in ARCTIC EDGE 2025 (AE25) Alaska, Aug. 8-24th, 2025. Specialized Arctic training generates valuable lessons learned for warfighters and enablers ensuring they can execute their assigned missions in any environment. AE25 is a NORAD and U.S. Northern Command-led homeland defense exercise designed to improve readiness, demonstrate capabilities and enhance Joint and Allied Force interoperability in the Arctic. UH-1Y Huey Helicopters take part in WTI Exercise

Lance Cpl. Chris Eichelberger, a gunner with a Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron (HMLA) 169, and a native of San Diego, Calif., fires on a target at the Chocolate Mountain Aerial Gunnery Range, Calif., as part as part of Weapons and Tactics Instructors Course 1-14. WTI is a biannual, seven-week training evolution that trains pilots from every corner of Marine aviation to become experts in tactics and effective situational employment of their aircraft and weapons systems.
