ABOUT

Arctic Edge 25 is a Joint Chiefs of Staff designated joint and combined field training exercise oriented on homeland defense in the Alaska/Arctic region. This exercise provides an opportunity to highlight cross command coordination in the Alaskan theater of operations for homeland defense.

U.S. Marines with 2nd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, participate in ARCTIC EDGE 2025 (AE25) Alaska, Aug. 8-24th, 2025. Specialized Arctic training generates valuable lessons learned for warfighters and enablers ensuring they can execute their assigned missions in any environment. AE25 is a NORAD and U.S. Northern Command-led homeland defense exercise designed to improve readiness, demonstrate capabilities and enhance Joint and Allied Force interoperability in the Arctic. Lt. Gen. McMillian addresses Naval Order of United States at Annual Congress
Lt. Gen. Rex McMillian, commander of Marine Forces Reserve and Marine Forces North, addresses members of the Naval Order of the United States during their 125th Annual Congress Oct. 23, 2015, at the Intercontinental Hotel in New Orleans. McMillian joined Rear Adm. David Callahan, commander of Eighth Coast Guard District, and Capt. Scott Gootee, commander of Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base New Orleans, to address the crowd about the history and evolution of the Marine Corps Reserve, Coast Guard and Naval Reserve components into the comprehensive readiness forces they are today. According to retired Navy Capt. Gary Bair, the host committee chairman for the National Congress of the Naval Order of the United States, the purpose of the congress is to preserve and promote naval service history and heritage. The NOUS is open to veterans of each of the naval services, as well as their descendants.
