ABOUT

Arctic Edge 25 is a Joint Chiefs of Staff designated joint and combined field training exercise oriented on homeland defense in the Alaska/Arctic region. This exercise provides an opportunity to highlight cross command coordination in the Alaskan theater of operations for homeland defense.

U.S. Marines with 2nd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, participate in ARCTIC EDGE 2025 (AE25) Alaska, Aug. 8-24th, 2025. Specialized Arctic training generates valuable lessons learned for warfighters and enablers ensuring they can execute their assigned missions in any environment. AE25 is a NORAD and U.S. Northern Command-led homeland defense exercise designed to improve readiness, demonstrate capabilities and enhance Joint and Allied Force interoperability in the Arctic. Reserve Marines remember their fallen brothers

Marines from Brooklyn’s 6th Communication Battalion bow their heads during a remembrance ceremony for two Reserve Marines from the unit at Floyd Bennett Field, Aug. 30, 2016. Sgt. Maj. Michael S. Curtin and Gunnery Sgt. Matthew D. Garvey, first responders with the city’s police fire departments, lost their lives at the World Trade Center on 9/11. To honor their memory, Marine Corps Reserve Center Brooklyn dedicated the Curtin Garvey Complex and a 9/11 monument made partially with steel from the World Trade Center. The remembrance ceremony is being held in conjunction with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Centennial, celebrating 100 years of service and selfless dedication to the nation.
