ABOUT

Arctic Edge 25 is a Joint Chiefs of Staff designated joint and combined field training exercise oriented on homeland defense in the Alaska/Arctic region. This exercise provides an opportunity to highlight cross command coordination in the Alaskan theater of operations for homeland defense.

U.S. Marines with 2nd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, participate in ARCTIC EDGE 2025 (AE25) Alaska, Aug. 8-24th, 2025. Specialized Arctic training generates valuable lessons learned for warfighters and enablers ensuring they can execute their assigned missions in any environment. AE25 is a NORAD and U.S. Northern Command-led homeland defense exercise designed to improve readiness, demonstrate capabilities and enhance Joint and Allied Force interoperability in the Arctic. A training area terrain model is located center room at the Tactical Training Control Exercise Group Battle Simulation Center on June 19th, 2017, as U.S. Marines with 2nd battalion, 25 Marines, 4th Marine Division, Marine Forces Reserve, prepare for the final training sequence of Integrated Training Exercise 4-17, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, California. ITX 4-17 is a live-fire and maneuver combined arms exercise designed to train battalion and squadron-sized units in the tactics, techniques, and procedures required to provide a sustainable and ready operational reserve for employment across the full spectrum of crisis and global engagement.
