ABOUT

Arctic Edge 25 is a Joint Chiefs of Staff designated joint and combined field training exercise oriented on homeland defense in the Alaska/Arctic region. This exercise provides an opportunity to highlight cross command coordination in the Alaskan theater of operations for homeland defense.

U.S. Marines with 2nd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, participate in ARCTIC EDGE 2025 (AE25) Alaska, Aug. 8-24th, 2025. Specialized Arctic training generates valuable lessons learned for warfighters and enablers ensuring they can execute their assigned missions in any environment. AE25 is a NORAD and U.S. Northern Command-led homeland defense exercise designed to improve readiness, demonstrate capabilities and enhance Joint and Allied Force interoperability in the Arctic. Dedication to Service: Marine Forces Reserve and Marine Forces South color sergeant is awarded by New Orleans mayor
U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Thomas C. Friloux, commander, Lousiana Army and Air National Guards, New Orleans Mayor Latoya Cantrell, U.S Marine Corps Sgt. Isaiah J. Curtis, color sergeant, Marine Forces Reserve and Marine Forces South, and retired Col. Jason E. Burkett, pose for a photo during the Armed Forces Day award ceremony at the National WWII Museum, May 17, 2025. Curtis received the Mayor of New Orleans Commendation Award for his service to the community. As color sergeant, he has rendered honors at more than 250 events across the greater New Orleans area. In addition to his ceremonial duties, he volunteers with Habitat for Humanity to build homes in the lower ninth ward and with Culture Aid NOLA to distribute food to the local community.  (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
