ABOUT 

AE26 is a North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) Tier 2 Joint Field Training Exercise (FTX) in the Alaska Theater of Operations (AKTO). AE26 will also include USNORTHCOM activities in Greenland, focusing on joint and combined homeland defense readiness and operations in the Arctic region. AE26 is aligned with Large Scale Global Exercise 26 (LSGE26), a globally integrated joint force FTX with defense partners and interagency organizations intended to shape the strategic operating environment, promote global integration and integrated deterrence, and mitigate strategic risk.

Partner Nations Master Peacekeeping Operations
As part of a simulated peacekeeping operation, Reserve Marines with 4th Law Enforcement Battalion, Force Headquarters Group, Marine Forces Reserve, ask approaching civilians to stop while they patrol down a road during exercise Platinum Wolf 2016 at Peacekeeping Operations Training Center South Base, Bujanovac, Serbia, May 19, 2016. The Marines are working with the partner nations of Bosnia, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Montenegro, Slovenia and Serbia during the final field exercise. During the field exercise the Marines complete various training scenarios along their patrol route, including being approached by service members with the Serbian Armed Forces simulating interaction with civilian press.
